What is Smart Power Management (SPM)?

Thermaltake would like to raise the awareness on global warming issue to all PC DIY/ PC users through Smart Power Management (SPM) platform. SPM is a cloud computing platform that tracks and analyzes PC electricity consumption, allows user to observe and learn their own energy consumption whereby alter their behavior to achieve the goal of reducing CO2 emission together to contribute on slowing global warming.

Out of all the PSU monitoring software applications on the market, Thermaltake DPS G Smart Power Management (SPM) is the most powerful, flexible, universal and easy-to-use monitoring tool that provides digital solution together with PC software and mobile application.

The combination of Thermaltake DPS G Series PSU and DPS G software provides clean and stable power and three intelligent platforms – DPS G PC APP 2.0, DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0, and DPS G Mobile APP 1.0 – for users to monitor and record the status of power consumption, voltage distribution, and electricity cost for advance usage.

Out of all the PSU monitoring software applications on the market, Thermaltake DPS G software is the most powerful, flexible, universal and easy-to-use monitoring tool that provides digital solution with hardware, software, mobile application, and cloud power management platform.

On the basis of DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0, users can access the PSU/VGA/CPU data via PC or mobile devices. By uploading the data onto the smart power management cloud every 6 hours, users are capable of monitoring multiple PSUs via their mobile devices and achieving IT cost reduction while monitoring the PSU. Additionally, users are capable of accessing data as well as doing PSU management on different devices – PC or mobile devices – anytime anywhere. *

FEED

Share your PSU data/status on “FEED” with friends and check your own messages from your friends. Also, you can find Thermaltake official news releases and product information on the “FEED” page.

ME

Click on “ME”, users can monitor the status of PSU/VGA/CPU (data will be uploaded per minute), including efficiency, fan speed, voltage, current, etc. Zoom in to see more details of the graph, there is no limit on the number of PSUs being monitored at any one time. *

ANALYSIS

Click “Analysis”, users can choose the specific PSU they want to monitor, or click “Select All” to see all the digital power supplies. Detailed information such as total time, total cost, and KWh can be monitored at once. Besides bar chart and line chart, users can also see the data in pie chart.

Energy Consumption Report

The total time of usage, electricity cost, power usage, average watt, and average efficiency are the 5 major indices for energy consumption. The various types of charts can help users easily understand the complicated numeric data and compare the energy consumption data with the previous 3 months.

ECO Report

This report allows users to analyze CO2 emission and power consumption by comparing current data with the previous 3 months. The bar chart in the report will help users easily understand the amount of CO2 emission and power consumption during a specific time period. Therefore, users could alter their usage behavior to achieve the ECO goal.

Energy Saving Plan

The saving plan can help user simply save more money from wasting the energy by setting the goal of wattage consumption in specific time period, and send the usage reminder to users via email and mobile App in order to successfully achieve the goal. The energy saving plan helps users save not only the money but also the earth.

Warning Alert

As the SPM service architecture shown on the top, the service allows users to receive a warning alert anywhere. The computers installed with an SPM supported PSU have the ability to monitor the real-time fan speed and temperature. DPS G PC APP 2.0 will send out a real-time warning signal to the cloud the fan speed, temperature (over 140℉/60℃), and voltage (over/under 5% of normal level) operate abnormally. In the meanwhile, the real-time warning alert will be pushed to DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0 and Mobile App 1.0 immediately through cloud platform.

VGA Monitoring

DPS G PC APP 2.0 enables users to digitally monitor the key parameters of the VGA, including wattage, ampere, voltage and temperature while using computer.*

CPU Monitoring

DPS G PC APP 2.0 enables users to digitally monitor the key parameters of the CPU, including wattage, ampere, voltage and temperature while using computer.*

Electricity Cost Monitoring

The DPS G PC APP 2.0 digitally calculates the electricity cost. This can be helpful in expense control/analysis and as a management tool for personal businesses or SMBs.

Export Records to Excel Report

The DPS G PC APP 2.0 enables users to select single or multiple PSU records and export the report as Excel file.

Sharing in the Cloud

Record: Single Comparison

Click “Single Comparison”, you can freely choose which PSU you want to monitor in detail such as efficiency, fan speed, voltage, current and so on, or use “Select All” to see all the data of digital power supplies. After you select the data, the DPS G Mobile APP 1.0 shows how data change during a period of time.

Record: Total Analysis

Click “Total Analysis”, users can see the selected information of the PSU, including Total Time, Total Cost, and KWh. Percentages of each item will be showed clearly, either in line chart or pie chart.

Warning Alert

DPS G smart software will send out real-time warning signal to Mobile App 1.0 when the fan speed, temperature (over 140℉/60℃), and voltage (over/under 5% of normal level) operate abnormally.
