Installation for Intel

Step 1 Step 2

In the retail box you find the Frio CPU cooler, an additional 120mm fan, a back-plate and an accessory box. (Bag A: LGA1366; Bag B LGA1156/LGA1155; Bag C: LGA775; bag D: AM2/AM2+/AM3) and another bag with the soft mounts for the second cooler fan and the cooling paste.

To install the additional second fan, take out ant-vibration soft mounts and slip the thicker base into the hole of the fan holder frame.

Step 3 Step 4
Put the 120mm fan on the top of the fan frame and pull the soft mounts and move them into the holes in the corners of the fan. Make sure each soft mount is holding the fan. Installation of the second fan is done.

Take out Intel back-plate, clip, nuts and screws from accessory bag. Fasten the Intel Clip to pre-drilled screw holes in the base of the Frio with a screw driver. Make sure the clips are fastened tightly to the Frio.

Step 5 Step 6
Remove the protective cover from the base of the Frio Place black washers on each bolt.
Step 7 Step 8

Apply Themaltake grease on the top of CPU

Place Frio onto the motherboard and make sure the exhausted flow fan is on I/O device side
Step 9 Step 10

Flip the motherboard over and place it on top of the Frio retention clip. Put the back-plate and nuts onto the motherboard.

Fasten the back-plate to motherboard with a screw driver by the reference order and make sure the back-plate is fastened tightly to the motherboard. Installation of Frio for Intel CPU is done.

Installation for AMD

Loosen and remove both the retention module and back plate from the front side of the motherboard, if one had been preinstalled.

Step 5 Step 6
Fasten the AMD clip to pre-drilled screw holes in the base of the Frio with a screw driver. Make sure it is fasten tightly.

Place one white washer on each bolt and remove the protective cover from the base of the Frio.

Step 7 Step 8

Apply Thermaltake grease onto the CPU.

Place Frio onto the motherboard and make sure the exhausted flow fan is on I/O device side
Step 9 Step 10

Now flip the motherboard over and place it on top of the Frio retention clip. Put the back-plate and nuts onto the back side of the motherboard.

Fasten the back-plate to motherboard with a screw driver. Make sure it is fasten tightly to the motherboard. Installation of Frio for AMD CPU is done.
